Today 3 of my closest friends at school and I somehow managed to procure a study room to sequester ourselves off and work on our memos all day. I arrived to the library first ( at 9 am) and slowly the other ladies sauntered in.
By 5:00 we were punchy beyond the point of return and things got somewhat thrown out of perspective as to what "funny" actually constituted. We somehow dissolved into a somewhat lewd coversation about sexual escapades, cheating boyfriends and regular weekend activities.
At 5:30 we decided to abandon the study room and head over to class. As we piled out of the study room (which is located in the center of the library) I couldn't help but notice a few people giving us odd looks. As we made our way down the stairs, I came to the realization that while everyone OUTSIDE the study room is completely silent, while we're in the study room we use our regular voices. And perhaps the walls aren't soundproof...
So if nothing else, it's possible that my fabulous ladies and I have become the most entertaining group in the library. It's good to know that although law school is sucking the life out of me, I can still manage to be unique.
