Sunday Funday

When I was growing up, Sunday was my least favorite day of the week. I was always woken up early, forced to go to Sunday School, then church, then I'd come home and spend the rest of the day dreading that I had to get up and go to school the next day. But then I went to college, got out of my mom's rules on going to church, somewhat denounced religion, scheduled only afternoon classes and all of a sudden Sunday and I became best friends. And we have kept that friendship alive.

Alison proposed yesterday that we do a "Slowmosa Sunday" walk today. Slowmosa walks are our version of life balance - we know we need to get out and exercise, but we've usually way overdone it the night before (last night was no different), so we inspire ourselves by making mimosas and carrying them with us while we stroll the neighborhood. Only this time, my BFF, in all of her infinite wisdom, came up with the idea of storing a pitcher of mimosas at each end of the neighborhood (our normal route) so we would HAVE to walk the whole way. Genius.

And then, somehow, pigtails got thrown into the mix. So, at the end of the whole Sunday Funday conceptualization this is what we got:

yep. we're 6.

It was such a beautiful day out, so after our walk we sat outside, enjoyed the sun and the warmth, finished our mimosas and continued to laugh and have fun. I love Sunday Funday!!
