The past 2 weeks of school can only be described as just horrible. Memo drafts due + Contracts professor who obviously served a term as leader of Auschwitz + general exam prep = one VERY unhappy girl.
I haven't been to Spartanburg in over two weeks, and I'm not going home this weekend either, so I have been pushing through all this stress without my usual weekend respites of stress relief chat and hugs with Alison and Leanne. But, today the most wonderful gift arrived at my door and evaporated all of my stress.
Alison created a scrapbook of all of our wonderful and hilarious adventures and put the pictures in a book called Girl Talk that already had fun quotes in it. I laughed and cried as I read each page in remembrance of our wonderful times, and the fact that Al so perfectly encapsulated each moment.
This is probably the most special gift I've ever received for many reasons, but of the top three: 1) because Al knew exactly what I needed to get through my stress 2) I am so incredibly lucky to have such great friends and to have shared so much fun with them and 3) anyone can see how much fun when looking at the pics, but each picture is so individually special to me
I complain a lot, and gripe a lot, but instead of just hand out platitudes, Alison implemented something she knew would help me through it, and it absolutely did. Reason number 4,233 I love Alison Dannert!
