Clearly I am a huge breast cancer awareness supporter. I've logged 60 miles of walking for a cure, and come July, I'll have logged 60 more for a total of 120 miles walked in support of a cure. I know that the 3 Day in July won't be my last, either. To me, it is an amazing and inspirational feeling to know that I have done this, but it also inspires me to want to do more.
Last year I decided I would sign up for the half-marathon "to end breast cancer" in Jacksonville, FL that was held on February 12, 2011. But, I wimped out and didn't train properly and then didn't end up going. I didn't beat myself up about it too badly until a few weeks ago when I thought, "I am a tough cookie. I can do this. And I will."
So, something I want to do before I die is run the full 26.2 miles in the National Marathon To End Breast Cancer (aka 26.2 with Donna).

Maybe this will happen next year; maybe it will happen when I'm 40; but, either way, I'm going to do it. Because, even though I got to choose not to participate this year, you don't get to choose to not have cancer.
